Minimum job requirements include an Associate’s or Technical degree in a relevant field of study or 7 years’ experience in the public works sector. Must maintain a Class C Water and Wastewater License and Class IV Biosolids License or the ability to obtain the license within 5 years from date of employment. Must possess a Minnesota Class B Driver's license or equivalent out-of-state driver's license or the ability to obtain the license within 1 year from the date of employment.

 

This exempt position works under the direction of the City Administrator. The Public Works Director manages the on-going operations of the department that includes water treatment and distribution systems, wastewater treatment and collection systems, streets, sidewalks, parks,  and the airport. The position provides management duties for capital projects, supervises employees and provides strategic plans to meet the future departmental and community infrastructure needs.
